3.  What do you mean by "everyday and fine jewelry"?

At Ramble on Rose, "everyday" and "fine" describe materials and craftsmanship — not how often a piece can be worn. Everyday jewelry includes thoughtfully made pieces designed for comfort, versatility, and regular wear, often crafted from high-quality materials like sterling silver, gold vermeil, gold-filled metals, gemstones, and pearls. Fine jewelry is made from precious metals such as solid gold and platinum and is equally meant to be worn often. Many fine pieces are perfect for everyday life and are chosen to become lasting favorites rather than occasional accessories.  We curate both because we believe jewelry should feel personal, wearable, and enduring — pieces designed to be worn, loved, and lived in daily.

4.  What is gold-filled and gold vermeil jewelry? Does it last?

Gold-filled and gold vermeil jewelry offer the look and feel of solid gold while remaining more accessible.
  • Gold-filled jewelry is made by bonding a thick layer of solid gold to a core metal using heat and pressure. Because the gold layer is substantial, gold-filled pieces are significantly more durable than gold-plated jewelry and, with proper care, can be worn regularly for many years without fading.
  • Gold vermeil features a thick layer of gold bonded over sterling silver. It combines the richness of gold with the strength of silver, making it a popular choice for everyday and statement pieces alike.
As with all jewelry, avoiding excessive moisture, chemicals, and improper storage will help extend the life of your pieces. Both materials are thoughtfully chosen for their longevity, wearability, and beauty.

5. Can you help me select something?
